Foodzie is looking for an efficient, smart, experienced developer to join a startup that is opening up the world of artisan food to consumers online. We need a developer to join our technology team and be the technology lead on a fast-moving, ecommerce + community application. Someone who can choose and utilize the technologies we use to automate, iteratively develop and continuously deploy so that we can quickly provide our customers with the product they want.
You’ll find your position comes with an enormous amount of freedom and responsibility. We are looking for a person who is excited about artisan food and the people that create it. We need someone who has a resilient personality and can be agile – things change rapidly as we get customer feedback/insights on our product. A strong passion for creating the best product for our customers and the most efficient lean processes in the company is necessary.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Iterating our product to improve customer acquisition, activation and retention
- Programmatic testing – unit, functional, and integration
- Developing a software immune system and working with and improving our system for continuous deployment
- Delivering high quality code on tight deadlines and rapid iteration of new features
- Working within a cross functional team to find simple fast to execute solutions to complex problems
- Architect solutions for major additions to the application
Requirements
- Experience working on high-traffic, scalable, web-based applications
- Must love automation automation and more automation
- Experience with Ecommerce, and expertise with PHP, MySQL, Javascript
- Experience with Ruby and Python or other languages is a plus
- Experience with Magento and PHP Zend Framework is a plus
- Familiarity with one or more of the following: FBML, OAuth, Amazon AWS

I thought you guys were mainly a Ruby backend. Are you switching to PHP? Also, are you guys going to do any developer APIs in the future? I'm a Flex developer and I think you guys could have some fun data to visualize.
We are switching to a PHP based platform for our commerce solution yes. As for APIs, we have thought about it and I think we'll definitely get there. It should be fun
